Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that affects the quality of human resources by hindering physical growth, cognitive development, and future productivity of children. This study aims to analyze the role of strengthening Integrated Health Service Posts (Posyandu) as a community empowerment effort in preventing stunting in Dermayu Village. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving Posyandu cadres, village midwives, village government officials, pregnant women, and parents of toddlers. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while source and technique triangulation were applied to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that Posyandu plays a strategic role in stunting prevention through growth monitoring, nutrition education, supplementary feeding programs, promotion of exclusive breastfeeding, and community health education. Strengthening the capacity of Posyandu cadres and encouraging active community participation are important factors in improving the effectiveness of stunting prevention programs. Therefore, community empowerment through strengthening Posyandu can support efforts to reduce stunting prevalence and improve maternal and child health in Dermayu Village.
